46: A new Level 2

7th Sep 2021

Under the updated Covid-19 Alert Level 2 restrictions City Art Depot are continuing to do all we can to preserve the health and safety of our staff and clients while offering our range of art care services.

The gallery and showroom will now be open, back to regular hours Monday to Friday, 8.30am-5pm and Saturdays 10am–2pm. We ask that all customers entering the store wear a face mask, sign in using either the Covid-19 Tracer App or provided printed contact slips, use the provided hand sanitiser and, if unwell, stay home.

Customers are welcome to bring in new framing work, our staff will be wearing face coverings while discussing jobs at the counter. Completed framing work can also be collected inside. If you wish to collect your framing or artwork contactless please call the workshop on 033653811 and we can arrange a suitable time.

We are resuming our installations under Level 2, following all the required health and safety measures. For those clients with installations already booked, we will be in contact soon to arrange a new time. We are also taking new bookings for our installation services.

Our exhibition programme resumes on the 14th of September with the opening of Nick Harte’s Demonology. An update on how the opening will operate under current health guidelines will be sent out later this week. Our stock gallery is also open at Level 2 with a special focus on works from Clare Logan’s exhibition Lacuna which closed over lockdown.

We are also continuing to take orders for gesso panels, Solander boxes and artists’ stretchers.

As the longest running picture framing workshop under continuous ownership in the city, we have a wealth of experience to help guide your framing solution. Because we are able to manufacture our own mouldings, we are largely unaffected by current frame shortages.

Our thanks go out to those who continue to support our workshop during this time and for your patience while we work through the back log of framing orders.
